Philip D. Adams started out writing blurbs for TV listings at a small ad agency in Santa Monica, California in the early 90s. Since then he has built his career as a professional copywriter and corporate communications specialist, creating advertising, marketing, web copy and PR campaigns across a broad spectrum of industries and media.
In the spring of 2013 Phil began work on his first novel, Blood of the Summoned, combining his fascination with history and his love of the fantasy and horror genres. His desire to tell the story of the fall of Anglo-Saxon England, one of the most captivating chapters in world history, was Phil’s inspiration for setting his vampire tale in the actual time and place that inspired the fantasy worlds of both Middle Earth (The Lord of the Rings) and Westeros (Game of Thrones).
Blood of the Summoned takes you back to the last days of the Anglo-Saxon age and weaves a terrifying, new twist on traditional vampire lore seamlessly into the fabric of actual world events to create a paranormal historical thriller that is as fascinating as it is frightening. You’ll discover the ancient origins of these demonic creatures and read how their insatiable lust for sex, power and blood rules the fate of kings, nobles and common folk alike and forever alters the course of world history.
